The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® is the voice and first source for information, expertise and advocacy related to the practice of real estate in Oklahoma. OAR's Strategic Plan identifies seven major areas of the Association with the following goals:
Value to Members
1. To be the repository of information, trends and statistics impacting Oklahoma real estate, providing expert analysis, insight and application.
2. To provide convenient, accessible and affordable education opportunities that support the continued professional development of members, target knowledge and skills for success in a changing industry environment, and complement the efforts of Local Boards.
3. To provide tangible, value-added products and services that support member business productivity and profitability. |
Advocacy and Influence
4. To wield influence in shaping the laws and regulations affecting property ownership, the practice of real estate and the standards of professionalism for practitioners. |
Communication and Outreach
5. To promote the essential value of the REALTOR as the primary source of information and solutions for the real estate consumer. |
Governance and Operations
6. To build and maintain the human and financial resources and structure required to keep OAR responsive in addressing the needs and issues of members and the industry. |
State-Local Board Relations/Value to Local Boards
7. To partner with Local Board leadership and staff in meeting member needs, addressing industry issues, and developing strong leaders who can shape the industry at the local, state and national levels. |
