| The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® has answered the call from
brokers and managers across Oklahoma for better-educated new sales
associates.
Scheduling live courses have not been feasible since Oklahoma increased
the educational hours to 90 hours, so the focus has shifted to self-paced
online delivery. OAR is in the process of preparing the content for
multimedia online Pre-License and Broker License courses. Watch for
its unveiling Summer '08.
|
As of January 1, 2008, Oklahoma requires a national background check with
fingerprint for all new licensee applications. The process can take up to
60 days, so it is recommended that students start the process in advance. More

Broker License Course |
The 90-hour course spans
a 10-week period. Evening classes are designed to not interfere with
students' "day jobs" and keep their weekends free for family
time. The course textbook and study materials are provided
as part of your tuition. For this course - and in your new real estate
career - you will need a financial calculator. One suggestion is the HP
10B II. |
Besides earning the GRI Professional Designation, there's no better
credential for current sales associates to obtain than the Broker's
License.
Plans are underway to begin offering a multimedia online Broker License
course. Keep checking this Web site for updates. |
